Are you looking for a fun and easy Holiday-themed song to do with your preschoolers?
I’m thrilled to share another Holiday sing-along song with you. The song is an excellent way to channel your preschooler’s pent-up energy this December as it gets them up and moving.
This song can be found in my Nutcracker-themed lesson plan.

The Lights On the Tree is a piggyback song of “The Wheels on the Bus.”
Teach your students to sing this simple song. Gather around the lit tree if you have one in your classroom. You could also have students open and close their hands whenever they sing “blink.” Improvise motions for the 2nd and 3rd verses. For example, students could mime shaking a box for the second verse.
Here are the lyrics:
The lights on the house go blink, blink, blink…
Blink, blink, blink… blink, blink, blink
The lights on the house go blink, blink, blink…
All Christmas Day.
The presents at the house go rattle, rattle, rattle…
Rattle, rattle, rattle…rattle, rattle, rattle
The presents at the house go rattle, rattle, rattle…
All Christmas Day.
More verses:
The train under the tree goes choo, choo, choo
The bells on the tree go jingle, jingle, jingle
The snowman at the house goes melt, melt, melt
The cookies at our house taste yummy, yummy, yummy
