If you think about it, pre-Kindergarten children are pretty much working every waking hour at developing their motor skills and body control. Preschool music classes can play a crucial role in helping them develop and fine-tune these skills.
If you are searching for activities that work on control, I have a very easy activity you can do with your students at anytime!

“Bananas Unite!” is so much fun! This activity and many more can be found in my Fruit-themed Lesson Plan.
Simply chant the words and demonstrate the gestures:
Bananas unite! (put your hands together above your head)
Peel bananas, peel, peel bananas (peeling motion )
Chop bananas, chop, chop bananas (chopping motion with hands)
Mash bananas, mash, mash bananas (mashing motion with two palms rubbing)
Eat bananas, eat, eat bananas (Eating motion)
Go00000 Bananas! (Raise your voice for this last part. Wiggle hands, starting low and ending high above your head)
Now encourage you children to join in! I hope you can use this activity in your class!
