I love celebrating Valentine’s Day with preschoolers. It’s such a sweet day to celebrate their little friendships and the people they love.
It’s so fun to have a special Valentine’s Day music class the week of Valentine’s Day and there are tons of wonderful songs about friendship and love to share with little ones.
This Valentine’s Day lesson plan for preschool music features all of those sweet songs and music activities.
My goal with lesson plans is to minimize the work on your part, so I keep things super simple. You’ll find piggyback songs with easy lyrics, familiar music on the playlist, and flexible activities that are easy to adapt.
This Valentine’s Day lesson plan was designed for movement-based preschool music classes and gives kids a chance to work towards all of their age-appropriate developmental milestones.
The lesson plan includes 10 songs and activities that can easily fill a 30-minute preschool music class. I try to alternate energizing activities with more focused activities, but you can easily rearrange the order to suit your class. You can also supplement with your own songs or leave things out as you see fit.
You can find this Valentine’s Day lesson plan over in my TeachersPayTeachers store.
