Happy Canada Day! The Maple Syrup song is a fun activity with actions for the kids. It can be found in my Canada Lesson Plan. It’s a piggyback song to the tune of the Farmer in the Dell.

Children can mime the actions in the rhyme such as pretending to drill or patting their belly. You will want to demonstrate the actions for them.
Canada produces 85 percent of the world’s maple syrup, so it’s included in my Canada lesson Plan, but it could really be used anytime food is a topic of the class.
